Los Palominos latest release, ‘Corazón Aventurero,’ pulls at heartstrings [AUDIO]

Known for their hypnotic vocal harmonies, GRAMMY-winning Tejano group Los Palominos deliver this and much more with, “Corazón Aventurero,” a mid-tempo ranchera and the latest release off of their newest effort, “Con La Fuerza De Un Huracán.”

Award-winning songwriter Juan Treviño shines with his lovelorn lyrics that express the longings of a heart once-wronged and which has now closed itself off from ever loving again.

The Arreola brothers vocalize beautifully these dark but universal feelings of the brokenhearted who not only feel lonely but even jealous of the love that seems to exist all around them.

Here’s a sample of an especially poignant verse: “Busco a otro corazón por que el mio ya no creo en el amor. Y mi triste realidad, es que vivo en soledad.”

Treviño writes passionate lyrics about heartache and a heart in search of love that will trigger your emotions whether you’re in love or out of it. Los Palominos express these feelings in the romantic style for which they have become known and adored by fans in the U.S. and Mexico.

Turn up the volume, listen closely and keep some tissues handy for this latest single, “Corazón Aventurero,” from Los Palominos’ release “Con La Fuerza De Un Huracán.”

Monuments to honor late singer Ernestine Romero are planned to be placed at her gravesite and workplace.

The plan is to place a huge permanent memorial, approved by the State of New Mexico, to be installed at Romero’s place of employment, the New Mexico Public Education building in Santa Fe, where she was murdered by her estranged husband in July.

Another monument is planned for the singer’s gravesite that is currently private until the unveiling of a custom headstone that will be created by Tim Morris, also known as Cemetery Tim, who owns a headstone company in Toppenish, Washington, providing families with personalized headstones, tombstones, memorials, monuments and more. He created and revealed a custom gravesite monument for late Tejano icon Jimmy Gonzalez earlier this month.

“She had so much love for music and her musical family,” said Olivia Romero, mother of Ernestine Romero. “She inspired so many with her amazing personality. She definitely had a wonderful bright future but was taken way to soon.”

Ceremonies for the unveiling of both monuments are scheduled within the next few weeks.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and for Ram Herrera, breast cancer hit close to home for the Tejano icon last year when his fiancée Gloria Jean was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer.

Herrera put recording his new album on hold to support his fiancée during her treatment to battle cancer with chemotherapy and other treatments.

“She survived it all, she’s cancer-free now, thank God,” Herrera told Tejano Nation. “She decided she wanted to give something back to help people that was less fortunate and don’t have insurance.”

During her visits to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston for treatments, Gloria Jean saw the need to help those who could not afford the cost of treatments.

“I cried when I was there at the doctor’s and people had no insurance,” Gloria Jean told Tejano Nation. “I said, ‘Can we do something for them? Can we raise money?’.”

The couple decided to help those in need with annual concert benefits in October beginning this year featuring some of Herrera’s friends in Tejano music. Shelly Lares, David Lee Garza Y Los Musicales, La Tropa F, and LaDezz donated their talent to help with the benefit at Thirsty Horse Saloon in San Antonio, Texas on Oct. 27.

“I wanted to get Tejano awareness,” said Gloria Jean. “I wanted to involve all Tejano, not just Ram or myself. Every year we want to do it.”

Ray Ray is joined by “Mr. Cumbia” himself, DJ Kane, on what is sure to be the official Halloween party anthem “Zombie Cumbia.”

“I wanted to do something special with this song, especially since my wife Erica Garcia wrote it,” Ray Ray told Tejano Nation. “I felt that DJ Kane’s style was just right and while recording at Slackmonster Studios, I learned that much more as an artist because of him. The experience was surreal and it was an honor working with him.”

The Halloween-themed cumbia, produced by Severo “Sevy” Contreras, will also feature its own official dance tutorial on Youtube, set to be released soon.

“I’ve been seeing Ray Ray’s movement and respect the grind and hustle behind it,” DJ Kane told Tejano Nation. “He had a cumbia in mind, I got the phone call to feature and I accepted. Went in the studio, dropped some spice on it and the rest is history.”
