I’m just totally honored and humbled by such an incredible recognition.”

On Saturday, he was recognized for his legendary career spanning over half a century with live music and a proclamation from the city.

“We should always remember who we are, where we come from and never forget those people whose shoulders we stood on to get to where we’re at,” Little Joe told the crowd on Saturday. “To all the times and things that I’ve gone through to be the person I am grateful to Temple for being my hometown and all the experiences I had as a kid here makes Little Joe who I am.”
