Funeral services for Tejano music legend Emilio Navaira were announced on Tuesday via the funeral home’s website.

According to Castle Ridge Mortuary’s website, services for Navaira will begin with visitation at the Freeman Coliseum, 3201 E Houston Street in San Antonio, Texas, on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with a rosary to be recited at 4:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at San Fernando Cathedral, located at 115 W. Main Plaza in San Antonio, Texas, on Monday, May 23, 2016 at 1:00 p.m.
Confirmed reports state that a call was placed to the New Braunfels Police Department when family members found Navaira unconscious when they returned home Monday night. Reports also state Navaira was transported to a local hospital, where we was then pronounced dead. An autopsy is expected to reveal the cause of the death for the singer.
The Grammy Award winner’s obituary was posted on the mortuary’s website:
Emilio H. Navaira III, 53, went to be with our Lord and Savior on May 16, 2016. He is preceded in death by his father Emilio G. Navaira, Jr.; mother-in-law, Maria Elena Rojas; father-in-law, Fernando Ibarra; sister-in-law, Paloma Ibarra; brothers-in-law, Fernando and Manuel Ibarra. He is survived by his wife, Maru Navaira; children, Emilio C. Navaira IV, Diego Ramon Navaira, Emely Ann Navaira, Pani Antonio Navaira, Freeda Luna Navaira; mother, Mary H. Navaira; sister, Yvette Navaira; brother, Raul Navaira; nieces, Destiny Luz Navaira and Lauren Paz Navaira; nephew, Rodrigo Raul Navaira. Emilio will be deeply missed and remembered forever in the hearts of many.
