Tejano Cavalry gets the party started with their latest single “Anímate Más” from the band’s sophomore album Sin Ti.
The Pleasanton, Texas-based band, who won Best New Artist at the 2013 Tejano Globe Awards, features accordionist Angel Valdez, bass player Bobby Medina, lead vocalist Fred Escamilla, Leo Leal on bajo sexto, drummer Ruben Medina and Javier Villarreal on sax and keyboards.
You can catch Tejano Cavalry performing throughout the state and when the band finishes a show, they love to hit up the nearest Whataburger for their ritual after concert meal.
“We like to go eat at Whataburger after a gig,” Valdez told Tejano Nation. “Bruce Hudson (former bass player) started it, and we have keep that reputation to hit up the nearest Whataburger after a show, no matter the drive.”
Sin Ti contains 10 tracks, including “Dejame Explicar,” “Sabes que te Quiero,” “Sin Ti,” “Una Paloma” and “Bruce’s Favorite Polkita.” The album is available now at all digital retailers.
