TejanosBest.com radio air personality Elisa Jaimez, also known as DJ Peaches, has joined as a contributor for Tejano Nation, the premiere website for Tejano music, news and entertainment. Jaimez will cover music, events and more for the Southwest region, including Arizona and California.
“Peaches’ passion for Tejano and Conjunto music and her ability to connect with people, make her a great add to the Tejano Nation team,” said Tejano Nation Digital Managing Editor John Henry Medina. “Along with Southwest Region lead contributor Fanny Gurl, TejanoNation.net will have the Arizona, California, Colorado and New Mexico music scenes covered and continue to keep Tejano Nation the premiere website for Tejano music, news and entertainment.”
Tejano and Conjunto music has been a big impact on Jaimez’s life starting with her parents Guadalupe and Clara Torrez and her uncle Manuel Flores. She has fond memories of her uncle playing accordion, writing music and singing at family barbecues in her hometown of Mammoth, Arizona, a small community where everyone knows your name and everyone enjoys a weekend with family and friends.
Jaimez has been an on-air personality with TejanosBest.com for four years after beginning her broadcast career at a radio station in Tucson, Arizona. She was the first female air personality hired at TejanosBest.com and accomplished great success with listeners, with a huge following in Arizona, Texas and California. Jaimez hosts her radio show three days a week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 2-6 p.m. CT on TejanosBest.com.
The super mom to five children and homemaker has the full support of her husband of eight years, Tony Jaimez. She also has a passion to pursue photography in the future.
