Cortney covers ‘Pediré’ for solo debut single [AUDIO]

Cortney released her solo debut single “Pediré” on Wednesday (Aug. 16).  

The former La Preferencia vocalist teamed up with producer Eric “E-Rock” Avalos of Chavalos Music to cover a song originally released by Lucy in 2016.

Cortney is from the Rio Grande Valley and started singing at the age of 9. At the age of 15, she began her career as a backup singer. She auditioned for Objectivo Fama at 18, but did not make the cut. In March 2017, Cortney decided to start a solo career and reached to Avalos, who signed her to Chavalos Music.
