Rancho Alegre Radio and AustinVida are proud to announce a new weekly tardeada series at One-2-One Bar beginning Sunday, July 2 in Austin, Texas. The weekly series will feature a wide variety of Tejano and Conjunto performers at the south Austin music venue on Sunday evenings from 6 – 8 p.m.
Rancho Alegre Radio, an Austin-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting Tejano and Conjunto music, is collaborating with AustinVida, a local music promoter specializing in live Latin music, to produce the series and are looking forward to the venture.
“It’s an exciting opportunity to team up with Rancho Alegre Radio,” says Manny Morales of AustinVida. “We are bringing back a weekly Sunday Tardeada featuring a variety of Conjunto and Tejano bands. This very special event will be hosted at one of Austin’s finest music venues, One-2-One Bar. Bar owners Gregg and Destinee Ware have always been strong supporters of all genres of live music and we thank them for this opportunity.”
“Coming off our first year presenting the Rancho Alegre Conjunto Festival at Stubb’s in May, this is a fantastic opportunity for us to continue bringing unique presentations of Tejano and Conjunto music to another highly-respected Austin music venue,” said says Rancho Alegre Radio’s Piper LeMoine. “One-2-One Bar has great sound, a great vibe and we love working with our longtime colleagues at AustinVida. It’s a perfect fit for us and for fans of these pure Texas music genres.”
The series starts off with an intimate acoustic and Q&A set by Grammy Award winner David Farias (formerly of La Tropa F and Los Texmaniacs) on Sunday July 2nd ($7 cover) and continues the following Sunday, July 9th, with Rancho Alegre Conjunto Festival alums Conjunto Calidad from Seguin, Texas ($5 cover).
One-2-One Bar is located at 1509 S. Lamar, suite 600, Austin TX 78704. For more information, visit ranchoalegreradio.org or contact Piper LeMoine by phone at 512-609-9208 or by email at piper@ranchoalegreradio.org.
