Tejano newcomer Karlos Saucedo has released his debut single “Quiero Suerte”, from his upcoming debut album.
Saucedo was born and raised in Las Cruces, New Mexico, and from a young age he had a passion for music. Starting to sing at the age of 6, he was quickly placed in school pageants, scoring his very first solo, “Blue Christmas,” in the fourth grade. His mother would teach him to sing and dance while she would cook and clean their home, showing him to move and sing with lots of love.
He studied performing arts at Alma D Arte Charter Arts School, where he dedicated his time to teaching dance in after school programs to at risk youth and was part of organizing his schools Ballet Folklorico program. As a senior, he took dance classes at New Mexico State University, getting his foot in the door to be apart of its dance programs when he graduated in 2008. Since then, he choreographed and performed in numerous musicals all over Las Cruces and surrounding areas.
Saucedo has been an active singer and performer in the rising Mariachi scene and has been a cancer patient advocate of Las Cruces CARE, donating his time and talent to help find a cure.
He has long had the dream of sharing his music with the people and has finally finished his debut album which is due to be released in the coming weeks.
