Young singing sensation Isabel Marie Sanchez was honored by the Texas House of Representatives on Tuesday in Austin for her contributions to music, community service and leadership in the Latino community.

Rep. Diana Arévalo of San Antonio introduced the resolution to honor the 14-year-old singer.
“I wanted to recognize her, not just for talents and what she’s accomplishing professionally, bu her contributions in the community and all the community service and charitable work that she does,” said Rep. Arévalo.
Rep. Barbara Gervin-Hawkins of San Antonio also gave high praise for one of Tejano music’s newest stars.
“She’s one of those talents that I believe will be a major shining star in the future, not just only in her music, but in her leadership abilities,” said Rep. Gervin-Hawkins.

Isabel Marie has garnered widespread acclaim as one of the top emerging artists in Tejano music. She began establishing an international fan base after her appearance on televison shows Sabado Gigante and La Voz Kids, and by covering popular songs on YouTube. Her debut album New Girl In Town, released in 2016, has spawned many hits for talented young singer.
“So honored to be receiving this House members resolution for my contribution to the arts, community service and leadership in the Latino community,” Isabel Marie said about the recognition. “Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
