Tejano music legend Hugo Guerrero served up the official music video for his new single, “Tequila,” on Sunday (February 26).
After 20 years of writing and producing songs for numerous artists in the Tejano music genre, Hugo Guerrero, singer and writer of the international hit “La Charanga “, releases his very own “Tequila” music video. This is a very special video for the Grammy winner, who’s last music video was produced in 1997 and he is proud to present his long awaited creation.
Originally sung in 1958 by The Champs, written by Daniel Flores a.k.a. “Chuck Rio” is this classic mambo/rock song, “Tequila.” Enjoy Guerrero’s musical genius as he brings back this classic with a cumbia styled twist, additional lyrics sung, written and produced by Guerrero himself.
The visual was produced by Lupe Moya at LM Media Solutions and features Raphael Rodriguez, lead singer of Los A-T Boyz, who wrote and performed the rap lyrics on the track, and also features Noe Benitez laying out the sax track in the video.
“Tequila” will be included on Guerrero’s upcoming album Súbele, expected to be released in Spring 2017.
