Legendary Tejano radio personality Jonny Ramirez continues his philanthropic work with Miracle Kids to benefit the San Antonio Children’s Hospital.
“As the holidays approach let’s remember the kids at the Children’s Hospital Of San Antonio and the fact that no matter what the color of their skin may be, what nationality they may be, what religion they may practice or what their economic or social status may be, every child receives the best medical attention known to man, “Ramirez posted on his official Facebook page on Monday. “That is why starting this Wednesday, I will hopefully inspire you to donate so that the Children’s Hospital can continue to offer our children the best services available.”
The former morning show DJ spent over 20 years entertaining Tejano fans on San Antonio and helped many charities and causes over those two decades.
“I have gathered some Tejano Treasures from some of the artists that I worked with during my radio tenure and we will have an auction in hopes of raising as much money as possible,” added Ramirez. “I have always said that it is up to US to help ourselves so I hope to hear from all of you come Wednesday.”
If would like to donate or support via the Tejano Treasures auction, you can visit JonnyRamirezMiracleKids.org, beginning Wednesday, November 9.
In October 2015, the longtime radio personality was shockingly let go from Univision Radio’s KXTN in San Antonio during a round of budget cuts. Ramirez had been with the Tejano radio station for over 22 years, most of that time serving as the station’s morning host.
Tejano Nation is a proud supporter of Jonny Ramirez Miracle Kids and will have more details on this great cause soon.
