SAN ANTONIO, TX — A search is underway for a 17-year-old Tejano musician who was last seen on the South Side of San Antonio early Tuesday morning, according to police.

Nathan Acosta was last seen around 1:00 am in the 800 block of Keats Street. He is 5 feet, 4 inches tall, and weighs 125 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He has a scar on his forehead.

He was last seen wearing a baseball cap, and grey hoodie, and wears glasses with light blue frames.

If you have information about his whereabouts, contact the San Antonio Police Department’s Missing Person Unit at 210-207-7660.

Acosta is known as an emerging Tejano artist. He released his debut single, “Me Cuesta Olvidarte,” last year.

He developed a passion for Tejano music at the age of 6. His interest grew as he watched his grandfather, Casimiro Castro, and his band perform. Going to dances and festivals at a young age, he was always attracted to music, learning to play the accordion and guitar at a young age. In 2019, at the age of 14, Nathan was featured alongside David Farias at the Tejano Music Awards for an accordion showdown.
