Tejano supergroup La Fiebre released the latest single “Cuídala,” from their highly-acclaimed new album Histórico from Freddie Records.
The upbeat Tejano style ranchera was co-written by Kelvin Mejia and Eduardo “Yayo” Anguiano, who is currently one of the hottest young songwriters in Tejano. He’s recently penned songs for Siggno, Elida Reyna Y Avante, Lucky Joe, and Monica Saldivar, to name just a few.
The track was produced by Mariano Herrera at the famed Legend Sounds Studios in Corpus Christi, Texas, and features the instantly recognizable classic rhythm and the horn section of La Fiebre with tasty accordion fills.
La Fiebre consists of original founding members Rudy Rocha (guitars, background vocals), Luis Ayala (trumpet, saxophone, keyboards, background vocals), and Joe Angel Reynosa (bass, background vocals). The band also includes J Angel Cantu (lead vocals), Julian Gonzalez (accordion, keyboards), Jonas Flores (trumpet), and Joe Lara (drums, percussion).
“Cuídala” is another outstanding track from Histórico that will definitely appeal to fans of La Fiebre’s classic Tejano/Rock of almost 35 years and continues to have one of the most loyal fan bases in the Tejano music industry.
