Magali Delarosa officially released her highly-anticipated fourth album, Corazón Rebelde, on April 5.
The Rio Grande Valley singer tells Tejano Nation that this album continues giving fans of the two-time Tejano Music Awards nominee more of her signature sound.
“We definitely did a variety of the cumbia fusion, which is kind of my style, that’s what I’ve done on the last three albums,” she said. “Bringing in electric guitar on ‘Olvidate de Todo,’ another cumbia. Just a lot of things like that. You can expect a lot of heavy accordion on those songs as well but in a lot of different places that you wouldn’t expect. I think that’s what my producer is so good at. You wouldn’t think something would go somewhere, he puts it there and I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh that’s amazing!’ Of course we have some beautiful Mariachi ballads, which I love to sing. I’m super excited, I’m super pumped for everybody to hear this, we’ve been working on it so hard.”
The album was produced Mike Perez, who is also the bandleader and accordionist for Magali’s band and produced all her albums.
Magali recently released her own cosmetics line last month named “Bésame Mucho” and was the featured artist on the cover of the New Tejano Playlist on Spotify for April, a playlist co-curated by Tejano Nation.
The next music project for the singer, actress and fashion designer is a full mariachi album. “It’s actually ready, to be honest,” Magali said. “We have all the songs, we have the cover art, everything. We didn’t want to released it so close to the released of Corazón Rebelde. We’re gonna give this a little time for people to enjoy and then maybe a few months down the road we will drop Serenatas De Mi Alma.”
The new album Corazón Rebelde from Magali Delarosa is available now at all major digital platforms.
