Jennifer Peña has recently been teasing fans with a series of Tik Tok videos featuring the three-time Grammy nominee singing her classic hits. Keeping fans wondering if a comeback is imminent for the 37-year-old singer and actress.
An Instagram photo shared on April 1 features Peña recording in the studio with the caption, “Y’all!! It’s been more than SIX YEARS since I’ve been in a studio! I’m dying of excitement! 
@obiebermudez and me are doing crazy things! #nuestranota“
Could this be a return to music for Peña, who last released a full album in 2007 with the Grammy-nominated Dicen Que El Tiempo, or can this be an April Fool’s joke with the timing of the photo?
According to an Instagram post from Peña’s husband, Puerto Rican singer-songwriter Obie Bermúdez, the couple recorded a duet with more details coming in May.
Peña began her career at the age of 12 in the mid-1990s recording four albums with Q Productions as Jennifer Y Los Jetz, eventually signing with Univision Music Group recording four albums, receiving three Grammy nominations and one Latin Grammy nomination. She was recognized five times as Female Entertainer of the Year by the Tejano Music Awards. and inducted into the Tejano ROOTS Hall of Fame in 2018. Peña ventured into film, appearing in MTV’s All You’ve Got with singer Ciara in 2006. She also appeared in the 2007 film Amexicano.
Peña and Bermúdez married on June 3, 2007, in Texas where the couple currently reside with their three children. The singer and actress has taken up Christian music and currently sings at Church Unlimited in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Pena’s last performance was with her husband in 2015 for “Unity: The Latin Tribute to Michael Jackson,” which aired on PBS. The pair sang “Todo Mi Amor Eres Tu”, a Spanish version of Jackson’s “I Just Can’t Stop Loving You.”
