40th annual Tejano Music Awards rescheduled for Dec. 22

The 40th annual Tejano Music Awards has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 22, according to FierroHD.com. The “Biggest Night In Tejano Music” was originally scheduled for a virtually streamed event on Saturday, Dec. 19 due to the current pandemic.

A statement at FierroHD.com, one of the websites scheduled to broadcast the Tejano Music Awards said in part, “This event has been rescheduled to Tuesday, December 22nd and will feature performances from your favorite Tejano artist and the announcement of the winners in each of the categories.”

Technical difficulties are the reason given for the postponement of the event according to a video posted on FierroHD’s Facebook page.

The show will feature a special tribute to Selena and performances by Jay Perez, Gary Hobbs, Shelly Lares, Stefani Montiel, Isabel Marie & The Vibe, JR Gomez, South TX Homies, The Mavericks, Monica Saldivar, Ricky Valenz, and an all-star performance of “America The Beautiful.”

The 40th annual Tejano Music Awards will take place on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at 7:00 p.m. CT in a virtual live-streamed event at TejanoMusicAwards.com, along with FierroHD.com.
