One of the most acclaimed groups in Latin music, Elida Reyna Y Avante has put an indelible stamp on the music industry with a highly polished approach to music that has resulted in the creation of some of the world’s eternal greatest songs, led by the incomparable voice of two-time Latin Grammy Award winner Elida Reyna, one of the most distinctive singers in all of Latin music.
After a career that has lasted more than 25 years, Elida Reyna Y Avante is back with her highly-anticipated new single titled, “No Se Vivir Sin Ti.” The song, co-written by Elida’s husband, the group’s leader, producer, and drummer, Lalo Reyna III, along with Latin Grammy award-winning writer Juan Treviño, is a return to the group’s roots of Tejano music.
“We just decided to go back to our roots and do something that’s real hardcore Tejano,” Elida tells Tejano Nation. “We just decided that this was the direction that we needed to take the entire album.”
Her followers have long asked Elida to record more songs in a vein similar to some of her early recordings. Elida delivers exactly what her audience has been wanting with her performance of “No Se Vivir Sin Ti.”
The song, which speaks of a relationship of couples and is an unbreakable bond, has a Tejano-style arrangement with a great dance rhythm, an accordion accompaniment, and a powerful vocal performance by Elida as only she can fulfill. The song is a preview of the group’s new album that will be released in early 2021.
“We’re still in the process of finishing up the album,” Elida added. “I’m really excited because I just kind of felt that I needed to go back, reverse, rewind, and take it back to how everything all started for us with roots, our Tejano roots.”
