Nominees for Best Tejano Album at the 20th annual Latin Grammy Awards were announced Tuesday by the Latin Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (LARAS).

The official list of nominees for Best Tejano Album includes three artists with Freddie Records; Elida Reyna Y Avante, Lucky Joe, and Grupo Vidal. The other two nominees are David Lee Rodriquez and El Plan.

Following the success of the hit collaboration from Lucky Joe and Elida Reyna on “Desechable,” it is going to be interesting to see who will take home the award.

None of the nominees listed above were nominated last year for the award, however, Elida Reyna won a Latin Grammy for Best Tejano Album with “Fantasia” in 2019.

This is the second consecutive year the award has been up for grabs since it was removed from contention in previous years due to lack of submissions.

In addition to the following artists being nominated in the Tejano Category, Intocable was nominated for Best Norteno Album with “Percepcion.”

Congratulations to all of the nominees!

The 20th annual Latin Grammy Awards will take place November 14 broadcast live from MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada on Univision.
