Siggno front man Jesse Turner paid tribute to his injured son, Jacob Turner, by singing his son’s favorite song during a concert in Corpus Christi, Texas on Saturday (March 12).

A fan of the band, Lupita Guerra, posted a video of the special moment on her Facebook page.

“Jesse singing Jacob Turner favorite song,” Guerra wrote. “But first he asked everybody to pray with him for his son. Very touching it made me cry… Prayers for Jacob Turner.”

Jacob Turner, the 21-year-old bass player for Siggno, has been in a coma at a South Texas hospital since crashing his vehicle into a guardrail at a high rate of speed in the early morning hours of February 8 in Harlingen.

“This has been the hardest month of my life, it has been the hardest birthday I’ve ever had,” Turner, who turned 38 on March 2, said in the video. “Mijo, he graduated from Carroll High School, so Corpus Christi will forever be in my heart.”

The singer began to lead the concert-goers in a prayer for his son before singing the song for Jacob.
