Veronique Medrano has signed an exclusive recording agreement with CHR Records, the Corpus Christi, Texas-based record label announced on Tuesday (Oct. 24).
The three-time Tejano Music Awards nominee’s first project with CHR Records will be produced by Tejano and Conjunto Hall of Famer Rick Garcia and is slated for release early 2018.
“We are thrilled to have Veronique on board,”said Charles Hearn, CEO of CHR Records. “We are looking forward to a long fruitful relationship. She is the future of Tejano/Conjunto music.”
Veronique, a native of Brownsville, Texas, released her debut album Encantadora, in 2013 earning a Best New Female artist nomination at the 34th Tejano Music Awards. Her sophomore album, Mi Año Dorado, garnered two Tejano Music Award nominations in 2017.
“I’m overjoyed to be joining the CHR Recording family,” said Veronique. “I am excited to bring great new music and push our artistic vision forward.”
Medrano has opened for Tejano superstars Elida Reyna, Siggno, Shelly Lares, and many more.
Hall of Fame producer Garcia, hails from Corpus Christi, Texas and is co-founder of Hacienda Records. Rick has produced many hits including Lisa Lopez’s “Si Quieres Verme Llorar” and Ruben Vela’s “Coco Rayado.”
CHR Records is a division of Red Tide Music Group based in Texas and is home to a diverse roster of talent. Their roster represents various musical genres and hopes to create inspiring and passionate music that defines the truth of today’s generation.
