Jay Perez, Stefani Montiel take top honors at 37th Tejano Music Awards

Jay Perez and Stefani Montiel took the top honors at the 37th annual Tejano Music Awards on Saturday night (Oct. 21) in San Antonio, Texas.

Perez took home three awards, including Male Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year for Un Amigo Tendras, and the title track from the album won Song of the Year.

Montiel won Entertainer of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year.

The new artist categories featured Isabel Marie Sanchez as Best New Female Artist winner, Ben Ozuna took home Best New Male Artist and Dezigual won Best New Group.

Album of the Year categories included David Farias winning Best Conjunto Album as well as Michael Salgado for Best Norteño Album.
